Composition

100 grams of drops for internal reception contain: thyme liquid extract - 50 g, tincture of ivy leaves - 15 g. Content of ethyl alcohol - 19%. Excipients: monohydrate of citric acid, sodium saccharin dihydrate, water.
100 grams of syrup contains: thyme liquid extract - 15 g, ivy leaves extract - 1.5 g. Content of ethyl alcohol - 7%. Excipients: citric acid monohydrate, potassium sorbate, maltitol syrup, water.

Form of issue

Syrup Bronchipret is a brown transparent liquid, a small deposit can be produced during storage.
Drops for oral administration are a brown liquid, clear, with the smell of thyme.
Both syrup and drops are produced in the following identical forms:
    in bottles of darkened glass of 50 ml with a measuring cup and a drip dispenser, one such bottle in a paper bundle;

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Substances of plant origin in the composition of the drug have secretolitic, antispasmodic and antimicrobial effects.
Flavonoids and essential oils of thyme, like saponins consisting of ivy leaves, have a secretolitic and bronchospasmolytic effect, in addition they reduce bronchoconstriction.
The components of the drug are rapidly absorbed by the systemic blood flow and are excreted mainly by the kidneys.

Indications for use

The drug is used as an expectorant for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory system of an inflammatory nature, complicated by cough and sputum production (tracheitis, bronchitis).

Contraindications

    Age less than 3 months (for syrup).
    Age is less than 6 years (for drops).
    Allergy to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Overdose

Interaction

Use with antibacterial drugs enhances the therapeutic effects of Bronchipret.
It is not recommended to take Bronchipret along with antitussive and sputum-reducing products, as this leads to suppression of phlegm cough.
