Indications for Bronchoplant

In the complex therapy of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum, including
    bronchitis,
    tracheitis,
    tracheobronchitis,
    whooping cough.
For adults and children from 1 year!

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of Bronchoplant; heart rate decompensation; gastritis; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation; hereditary intolerance to fructose; deficiency of sugar / isomaltase; glucose-galactose malabsorption; children under 1 year.

Application in pregnancy and lactation

Bronchoplant is not recommended during pregnancy and during breastfeeding because of lack of sufficient clinical experience in this category of patients.

Due to the content of ethanol, children under 12 years of age should take the drug on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor. The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is not more than 4%.
In one teaspoon of Bronchoplant (5 ml) contains no more than 0.16 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol (that is, anhydrous ethyl alcohol).
- For children from 1 to 5 years, the maximal single dose contains not more than 0.16 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in the maximum daily dose - not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
- for children from 5 to 12 years, the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.32 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in the maximum daily dose - not more than 1.28 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
- for adults and children over 12 years, the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in a maximum daily dose - not more than 1.92 g of absolute ethyl alcohol.
In 100 g of Bronchoplant contains 31.5 g of sorbitol (in terms of anhydrous sorbitol). In 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.15 bread units.
If the symptoms of the disease persist or worsen when the drug is used within 3-5 days, you should inform your doctor about it.

Composition

100 g of syrup contain
Active ingredient: thyme ordinary herb extract liquid with a thymol content of 0.028% - 9.00 g

Dosing and Administration

Inside, regardless of food intake.
If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage, the drug is taken:
Adults and children over 12 years: 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children from 5 to 12 years: 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children from 1 to 5 years: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 2-3 times a day.
The syrup can be taken without diluting or diluting with water.
The duration of Bronchoplant is determined by the therapeutic need and duration of the disease.

Side effects of Bronchoplant

Drug Interactions

The Bronchoplant drug should not be used concomitantly with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

Overdose

When Bronchoplant is used in doses exceeding the recommended dose, irritation of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, diarrhea is possible.
Treatment: symptomatic.
