Composition

In 1 milliliter of syrup contains:
    fenspiride hydrochloride - 2 milligrams (active substance);
    methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) - 0.9 milligram;
    propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216) 0.35 milligram;
    flavoring vanilla - 4 milligrams;
    Glycerol (E 422) - 22.5 milligrams;
    dye sunset sunset yellow (E 110) - 0.1 milligram;
    sucrose - 600 milligrams;
    potassium sorbate (E 202) - 1,9 milligrams;
    flavored honey - 2.5 milligrams;
    sodium saccharinate (E 954) - 0.45 milligrams;
    citric acid monohydrate (E 330) - 0.2 milligram;
    purified water - up to 1 million.

Form of issue

Produced in the form of a syrup (a transparent liquid of orange hue) in a bottle of 150 ml. The bottle is in a cardboard box (additionally a spoon-dispenser is included in the kit).

pharmachologic effect

It has bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory effects. Actively reduces the inflammation of the respiratory tract and the manifestation of bronchospasm, as well as the production of biologically active substances involved in the development of inflammation, and increases the tone of the bronchi (including arachidonic acid derivatives, cytokines and free radicals).

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Fenspiride is antagonistically active against histamine H1 receptors. Also, the mechanism of its action is associated with myotropic spasmolytic activity.

Indications for use

Treatment of symptoms of lower and upper respiratory tract diseases:
    chronic bronchitis with respiratory failure;
     respiratory disorders in whooping cough, flu, measles;
     bronchospastic syndrome;
    bronchial asthma;
    sinusitis;
    rhinopharyngitis;
    rhinotraheobronchitis;
     otitis;
    laryngitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug may cause an allergic reaction. With caution should take the drug in diabetes. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation. Also contraindicated for children under two years.

Side effects:

    digestive system: dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain;
    central nervous system: drowsiness, agitation;
    cardiovascular system: occasionally tachycardia;
    dizziness;
    allergic reactions.

Instructions for use Syresp (Method and dosage)

Take the drug inside before eating. The recommended dose is 4 milligrams of fenspiride / kg per day. The dose should be divided into several doses.
Adults and adolescents should take 9-18 measuring spoons of syrup per day (this is 45-90 milliliters of syrup or 90-180 milligrams of fenspiride hydrochloride, respectively).

Syresp, instructions for use for children

    Children under 10 kg should be given 2-4 measuring spoons of syrup per day (this is 10-20 milliliters of syrup or 20-40 milligrams of fenspiride hydrochloride, respectively). Syresp for children is prescribed from two years.
    For children weighing more than 10 kg, the dose is 6-12 scoops of syrup (this is 30-60 milliliters of syrup or 60-120 milligrams of fenspiride hydrochloride, respectively).

Overdose

In case of an overdose, side effects such as nausea, drowsiness, vomiting or arousal, tachycardia can occur. In case of an overdose, immediately consult a doctor and rinse the stomach.

Interaction

The interaction of fenspiride hydrochloride with other drugs is unknown. However, if you take into account the antihistamine effect of fenspiride, it is possible to interact with other antihistamine, analgesic drugs.
