The main constituent of the drug is ketoprofen, which refers to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory substances (NSAIDs). The inhibitory effect of Flexen activates the enzymes of cyclooxygenase-1. This process prevents the formation of inflammatory mediators and depresses the appearance of leukotrienes.
During the use of the drug, a persistent decrease in the activity of neutrophilic granulocytes and the stabilization of the state of the lysosome membranes are observed. Flexen deeply penetrates into the synovial and the connective membranes.

Pharmacokinetics of Flexen

With intramuscular injection, the time of development of the highest concentration in plasma is 15-30 minutes. Binding to blood proteins is 99%, bioavailability is 90% or more.
