Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Oruin Aurobin is a combined medicinal product with pharmacological actions, characteristic for its active components. Lidocaine, Dexpanthenol and Prednisolone mutually combine and actively supplement each other's effects, thereby effectively reducing the symptoms of the painful conditions of the perianal region and rectum.
Lidocaine, being a local anesthetic, quickly and qualitatively eliminates the sensation of itching and painful symptoms caused by diseases of the skin and inflammatory processes of the perianal region.
Prednisolone is a preparation of the group of glucocorticosteroids (non-halogenated), it has the ability to reduce the intensity of the inflammation process, reduce the effects of exudation, the permeability of the vessel walls and the itching of different etiologies.
Dexpanthenol belongs to the B group vitamins and is metabolizable in tissues to pantothenic acid, activates tissue regeneration processes, reduces the time of healing of skin lesions.
When applied topically, a small portion of Prednisolone and Lidocaine is absorbed into the systemic circulation. At the same time, lidocaine binds to plasma proteins, is metabolizable in the liver and is mainly excreted by the kidneys, penetrates through the BBB. T1 / 2 - 1-2 hours.
Prednisolone rapidly spreads in the body, passes through the BBB, is excreted in the urine in the form of conjugates.

Side effects

The appointment of glucocorticoids for external use, in the first place, can lead to the development of side effects of a local nature: a burning sensation, a deterioration in the process of tightening the lesion, irritation, thinning of the skin, dryness, increased sensitivity of the skin.
With prolonged therapy, skin atrophy, telangiectasia, local hirsutism, purpura, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, folliculitis, development of fungal infection, acne vulgaris, diaper rash, diarrhea, allergic contact dermatitis are possible.
When applying Aurobin on a large surface (or in large quantities), systemic reactions of the side effects of glucocorticoids (the Itzenko-Cushing syndrome, growth retardation, increased intracranial pressure at the end of therapy, glucosuria, hyperglycemia, increased blood pressure, hypokalemia).
Long-term treatment, especially in large doses, can cause bradycardia, due to the systemic action of lidocaine.

Ouro Aurobin, instructions for use

Instruction for Aurobin suggests the use of ointment only externally and rectally.
Patients in adulthood and old age are recommended 2 - 3-time application of ointment, on the damaged surface, per day.
With the internal arrangement of hemorrhoids, a small amount of ointment substance is injected directly into the rectum. 2-4 procedures of application per day are made. With a reduction in symptoms, you can reduce the number of procedures. The course of treatment, as a rule, takes 5-7 days.
The choice of the treatment regimen and the choice of doses of the drug Aurobin in childhood (over 1 year) is carried out individually.
At any age, long-term use of Aurobin should be avoided, as well as applying it in large quantities to large areas.

Overdose

Acute overdose, due to topical application, is unlikely. In case of incorrect application of Aurobin or its chronic overdose, it is possible to have negative symptoms associated with the systemic action of glucocorticosteroids, and also, due to lidocaine, bradycardia.
It is recommended, depending on the severity of the symptoms, a decrease in the dose of the ointment or complete withdrawal of therapy.

Interaction

There is no reliable information about the drug interaction of Aurobin, with its local application.

Storage conditions

At a temperature of 8 to 15 ° C.
Shelf life - 24 months.

special instructions

Do not recommend using Aurobin Ointment for a long time, especially in children, due to possible oppression of the adrenal glands.
Do not allow the drug to penetrate the periorbital area and into the eyes. In case of accidental contact, skin should be washed with water.
The development of secondary infection, as well as its spread, is the reason for discontinuing the drug and prescribing appropriate antifungal or antimicrobial therapy.
Before the application of the ointment, it is recommended to thoroughly clean and dry the areas of skin intended for treatment, since moist conditions predispose to the development of bacterial infections.
The application of Aurobin to large areas or the use of it for a long time can cause systemic absorption of active ingredients, which contributes to the development of skin atrophy, especially in patients at a young age.

Children

Aurobin in children can be used only from the first year and with extreme caution. Select the minimum effective dose for a duration of therapy that does not exceed 5 days.

During pregnancy (and lactation)

Do not appoint in the first trimester of pregnancy and with extreme caution (potential risk / benefit to the fetus) in the second and third trimester.
Because of the penetration of lidocaine and prednisolone into the mother's milk, it is better to stop breastfeeding.

Reviews about Aurobin

Many people suffering from hemorrhoidal disease states, as well as other inflammatory problems in the perianal region, are looking for an effective ointment from hemorrhoids. Reviews for Aurobin, appointed just to solve these problems, with hemorrhoids therapy of the third and fourth stages, are mostly approving and mark the effectiveness of therapy, the removal of the pain syndrome, the rapid healing of anal fissures.
In the treatment of hemorrhoids of the first and second stage, the action of the ointment is questioned, since during this period the disease does not have swelling, inflammation and pain. Also, there is no clear opinion on the advisability of the appointment of Aurobin in external hemorrhoids.
From all that has been said, it can be concluded that before buying and applying a drug, it is better to consult a specialist doctor whose opinion you trust.
