Gioxisone is available in the form of an ointment for external use. Ointment is a homogeneous substance of white color without any specific odor. The preparation is produced in an aluminum tube of 10 g in a cardboard bundle.
The main active ingredients of the drug are oxytetracycline hydrochloride and hydrocortisone acetate.
Pharmacological properties of the drug
Ointment Gioxisone is a combined preparation of local effects, which exerts antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous and antibacterial effects on the skin.
The oxytetracycline included in the preparation belongs to antibiotics from the tetracycline group, due to which the inhibition of growth and reproduction of pathogenic microflora occurs under the influence of the drug. This substance shows a high therapeutic activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, pale treponema, rickettsia, mycopath and others.
Hydrocortisone, which is part of the preparation, is a glucocorticosteroid agent that exerts a pronounced anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and anti-allergic effect.
