Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Pharmacodynamics

Polycomponent preparation for topical application.
Troxerutin is an angioprotective agent. Demonstrates P-vitamin activity: it has a venoprotective, venotonic, anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, antioxidant and anticoagulant action. Reduces permeability and fragility of small vessels, strengthens their tone. Increases the density of the vessel wall. Promotes the normalization of perfusion and tissue trophism, it stops stagnant processes.
Heparin refers to anticoagulants of a direct type, a natural anti-coagulant factor. It inhibits thrombus formation, stimulates fibrinolytic indices of blood, improves local blood flow. Has anti-inflammatory effect, improves the repair of connective tissue due to inhibition of hyaluronidase.
Dexpanthenol in skin cells is transformed into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A, which regulates in the processes of oxidation and acetylation. Improving metabolism, dexpanthenol promotes the restoration of tissues that are damaged; stimulates the absorption of heparin.

Pharmacokinetics

With local application, all of the above active ingredients are actively absorbed by the skin.
Troxerutin after half an hour is found in the dermis, and after 3-5 hours - in the subcutaneous fatty tissue. In the systemic circulation Troxerutin almost does not penetrate.
Heparin usually accumulates in the surface layers and reacts actively with the skin proteins. With topical application, only a small amount of heparin penetrates into the bloodstream without causing a systemic effect without altering the coagulation index. Through the placental barrier does not penetrate.
Dexpanthenol actively penetrates into skin cells and is transformed into pantothenic acid, reacts with plasma proteins (beta-globulin and albumin). In turn, pantothenic acid in the body is not metabolized and is eliminated in its original form.
