Composition

    In the composition of 1 tablet Vinpocetinum depending on the manufacturer may include 5 or 10 mg of the same substance. Additional substances: potato starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose, magnesium stearate.
    In 1 ml of concentrate solution for infusion contains 5 mg Vinpocetinum. Additional substances: hydrochloric acid, propylene glycol, sodium disulfite, sorbitol, edetate disodium, sodium sulphite, citric acid, water.

Form of issue

White or light yellow round biconvex tablet with a notch on one side. 10/20/30/50/100 tablets in a package, from 1 to 10 packs in a pack of cardboard.
Concentrate is a clear, slightly colored solution. 2/5 ml in a dark glass ampoule, 5/10 ampoules in a cell pack, 1 or 2 packs in a pack of cardboard.

INN - Vinpocetinum. A drug that enhances cerebral circulation and metabolism. Suppresses phosphodiesterase activity, causing accumulation of cAMP in tissues. Demonstrates vasodilating effect mainly on the vessels of the brain, which is caused by spasmolytic myotropic effect. Systemic blood pressure decreases slightly.
Stimulates the blood supply to brain tissue, weakens platelet aggregation, regulates the rheological properties of the blood. It improves the resistance to hypoxic brain cells by stimulating the transport of oxygen to the tissues thanks to the reduction of erythrocytes tropism thereto by activating glucose uptake and metabolism. Increases the concentration of catecholamines in brain cells.

Pharmacokinetics

When ingested, it is rapidly absorbed from the intestine. The highest concentration in the blood is reached after about 1 hour. Half-life time reaches 5 hours.

The medicine should be taken after ingestion, inside, 1 tablet three times a day. The initial daily dosage is 15 mg. The maximum daily dosage is 30 mg. The duration of the course of treatment, depending on the doctor's recommendations, can be up to 3 months.
In disorders of kidney or liver function, the dosage of the drug does not change.
The dose is gradually reduced to a complete cancellation.

Ampoules Vinpocetinum, instruction manual

In the form of injections Vinpocetin IV is used mainly in acute conditions, a single dose is 20 mg. With normal tolerance, the dosage is increased 3-4 days to 1 mg / kg of body weight. The duration of therapy is usually 10-14 days.
